General Information

Dates of the programs?
  • Week-long program sessions run throughout the summer.

Is lunch provided?
  • We provide morning and afternoon snacks (granola bars and juice/water).
  • Students are responsible for bringing their own lunch.
  • Refrigeration is not available.
  • There are no concessions available for the purchase of lunch.

Where are the programs located?
  • Our programs are hosted at a variety of schools in western Connecticut
  • Please see specific program pages

Transportation Requirements?
  • Students need to be dropped-off and picked-up at the program location
  • Field trips related to the curriculum (where applicable) are covered in the program fees

What is the cancellation policy?
  • Full refund when cancellation is made 60 days prior to the start of the program
  • Partial refund of 50% for cancellation 30 days prior to the start of the program
  • No refunds are given if received less than 30 days prior to the start of the program
  • Exceptions will be made in the case of a family or medical emergency. We will ask that you provide some form of documentation
  • We reserve the right to cancel a session if minimum enrollment is not met. We will make this determination 60 days prior to the start of the session. Notification will be made immediately and 100% of amount paid will be refunded in full

What is the absence policy?
  • We strongly encourage students to attend all sessions
  • Student participation is an expectation of the program and is essential to the experience
  • Please consider scheduling family vacations during another time
  • We do not offer refunds or make-up dates for absences

What forms need to be completed prior to the first day?
After registration all students must complete a general permission form (available soon).

Do students receive any recognition of their completion of the program?
Students receive a Certificate of Completion and a program t-shirt.

What is the expected dress code?
Dress code will depend on the program. For instance, students participating in science lab activities are not permitted to wear open-toed shoes. The following clothing is prohibited, regardless of program: clothing displaying profanity or offensive or inappropriate symbols, halter tops, strapless shirts, mini-skirts, or anything else deemed inappropriate by the program staff. Parents may be requested to come pick up students wearing this clothing. Please see individual program pages for additional guidance.

What are the expectations for student behavior?
No student may leave the program premises or enter an unsupervised area unless accompanied by a program staff member. Students must listen and respond promptly to instructions given by program staff. The use of electronic devices not explicitly related to the program activities is forbidden during program hours. (This includes cell phones, iPods, cameras, and videogames). Students must demonstrate the same acceptable behavior as they would at their school. Parents will be notified in the event of misbehavior. Extreme misbehavior may result in expulsion from the program. No refunds will be offered in the case of expulsion.

When is payment due?
There are two payment deadlines – Early Bird and Regular.
Early Bird – March 1 (5% less than regular)
Regular—May 1

Is there a discount for signing up for multiple sessions?
Yes. For 2 sessions – 5%. Three sessions – 10%

Is there a discount for friends/family referrals?
Yes.

Are scholarships available?
Not at this time.
